Modern Workplaces – Two Consultations

The Government has published a consultation on how its proposed shared parental leave reforms will work in practice.



The closing date for submissions is 17 May 2013.



In addition, the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (Acas) has published a draft Code of Practice on dealing with requests for flexible working. The right to request flexible working is to be extended to all workers from 2014. The current statutory procedure will be removed and employers will have a duty to consider all requests in a reasonable manner.



The consultation closes on 20 May 2013.
